Department of Dairy Science and Technology

The Dairy Processing Department takes care of using fresh milk after verifying its suitability and determining its quality, and transforms it into different products with high acceptance by the consumer, including thousands of types of cheeses, processed, mature and soft cheeses, types of condensed liquid milk, sweetened condensed milk, sterilized and flavored milk, dried milk of different types, and different fermented ferments. Unflavored, butter of all kinds, free fat, and various ice creams, he is interested in manufacturing, packaging, marketing, and preserving them until they are consumed. Thus, the department contributes to increasing the demand for fresh milk and thus improving its prices, which leads to improving the agricultural sector, especially the animal sector specializing in dairy cows.
Through the department's courses, the student obtains sufficient scientific knowledge and skills for dairy industry applications, and the graduate has the ability to work in the dairy industries, food control, control and standardization devices for dairy products, and inspection devices for the suitability of dairy products in border areas.
